Civic Locker Room Maintenance
We are working closely with the city to get some much-needed maintenance done on the locker rooms at Civic. It has proven difficult to find a time where the city workers are available and the locker rooms are not in use. We have tried to schedule time for the work when it will minimally impact the swimmers. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always work and maintenance crews sometimes show up when swimmers are still in the locker room. We know this can be inconvenient, but we all need to make concessions so the maintenance can get done. If you are in a locker room when maintenance is underway, please be respectful to the city workers. Try to get out of the locker rooms as quickly as you can, and acknowledge the city workers in a thoughtful manner. We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.

Head Coach's Message Thank you for being so patient and understanding as we deal with the weather and the issues with the heater at Civic. I know there has been a lot of moving around and cancellations lately but I’m optimistic that the weather will be better and the heater will get fixed soon. Fingers crossed! With that being said, we will continue to run our morning and afternoon workouts out of Arroyo this week. Our evening workout will be held at CIvic. If you are planning on attending the evening workout please plan on arriving a little early to help take off the covers (if you are able).
Thanks again for rolling with the punches over the last couple of weeks!
Coach Matt

One Hour Swim The One Hour Swim is upon us! This event runs from 1/1-1/31 with registration closing on 2/3. Click HERE for all the information on the One Hour Swim including split sheets, fees, entry procedures, etc. We will have a sign up sheet at Civic (much like we did for the Brute Squad) for people to set up a time to complete their swim during a workout. As with the Brute Squad, a great time to do your swim is during weekend lap swim. Make sure you bring a buddy to count/time so you get accurate results.
Check out the All Time Top Twenty Swimmers for the One Hour Swim. Take a look at these records and see if you can get your name on the board this year!
The One Hour Swim is a very challenging event, however with the right mindset and preparation, you can do it! It’s a national competition that is all about participation. The more people who do it, the better we do. Last year we had the most participants and won! Let’s try to go back to back and win again this year!!
If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to Coach Matt
