Head Coach's Message

If you watched the presentation from Dr. Cunningham, one thing he recommended a lot was swimming with a snorkel. I think a snorkel is a GREAT piece of equipment that can really help your swimming. It’s not something you need to wear all the time, in fact I think it is important to swim without your snorkel as well (this gives you an opportunity to work on your breathing technique). It’s great to swim with a snorkel for the initial 10 minute warm up and during the pre-set (especially on distance days). I find that when I do this, my stroke feels much better for the remainder of the workout.

Grand Prix

5 points for 30/30; 1 point for all others

March 1-31: 30/30: it’s baack! Swim at least 30 minutes on 30 consecutive days in March. Anywhere, any time, equipment allowed, creativity encouraged! 5 points! 

March 5: Bay Area Senior Games, Palo Alto. Ages 50+. Entry includes a commemorative T-shirt!*

March 18 or 19: Clovis Masters Spring Open, Clovis. Check PacMasters calendar in the link below for updates.*

March 26: Sac Masters Sprint Pentathlon, North Natomas. 100 of each stroke and 200 IM, bling awarded to age group winners with lowest cumulative time for all 5 events. Bonus: relays too! Great run up to PacMasters Championships!*
