DAM Big Day of Fishing

Going on NOW!

Today is a DAM big day! We are hosting our annual fundraiser right now at the Brady Building, Civic Pool. Please take a moment before or after your swim to show your appreciation to our great community of swimmers and coaches.

There will be snacks all day and volunteers to help you with your donations. You can sponsor an event at Berryessa, or you can sponsor one of our outstanding volunteers. You can contribute by cash, check or credit/debit card. Volunteers will be in the Brady Building until after the 1:00 swim, and before and after the 6:15 swim tonight. In addition, a volunteer will be in the Brady Building Tuesday and Wednesday mornings until noon to process your donations.

Your donations are appreciated, and tax deductible.

DAM is the best, because of YOU!

Head Coach's Message

We’ve got a lot going on so I have a few messages for you…

First of all, thank you so much for all the Coach's Appreciation gifts! I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to lead a team of such amazing people. Your support makes this job much easier and super fun. Thank you!!!

Second of all, my tired eyes got the best of me last week when I was giving USMS Nationals shout outs. I missed a big time first place finish for one of our swimmers, Tara Halsted! Tara not only finished first in the 200 fly but also swam the fastest time for all 25-29 year olds this year!! Huge swim! Way to go Tara!!

Finally, thank you for all your patience and support as we dealt with the crime situation last week. We had a bunch of people show up early to workouts to make sure coaches and members were safe. Thankfully the police took care of business and we are back to normal. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Lake Berryessa 39th Open Water Swim

Thanks to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer for our Berryessa Open Water Swim. We still have jobs that need to be filled. To sign up:

  • Go to the DAM website damfast.org and follow the links to register.
  • Scan this QR code to go directly to the sign- up page.
  • Contact Kathy at kmgill135@gmail.com for questions or help.

We are especially in need of water safety volunteers. To do this job you need to be comfortable handling a kayak, canoe, or stand up paddleboard. If you would like to volunteer, but do not have a watercraft, we will have some kayaks available for your use. We can accommodate people who would like to volunteer and also participate in one of the swims.

If you have questions contact Kathy Gill.

Thanks,

Kathy
