The 18th Annual Ross Yancher Brute Squad begins November 1!
This year’s theme is “Become the Dragon.” It comes from the story of a fish that fights its way upstream and, after overcoming the challenge, becomes a dragon. That feels pretty fitting for Brute Squad: take on something difficult, push through it, and come out stronger on the other side.
Or, in our case, become a Brute.
Starting November 1, there are two easy ways to complete your Brute:
During a DAM workout: Sign up on the Brute Squad sheet at the podium at Civic and let your coach know you’re taking it on.
During weekend lap swim: No sign-up needed. Just show up, grab a lane if one is available, and go for it.
You can choose the Full Brute or Brute Light, and remember that you can complete either version competitively or modify it to fit your ability. You don’t have to be an IM swimmer to participate.
We’ll keep preparing you in workouts through the end of October. Then starting November 1, it’s time to head upstream.
Take on the challenge. Become the Dragon. Become a Brute.
Keep up to date on upcoming events and recent job postings.
